![]() Faxton Village
This octagonal stone stump and a few stone floor slabs are the remains of the Church of St. Denis which, until recently stood on this site and served Faxton Village. In 1901, the church and eleven houses were here, while an account from the late 1920s lists a few cottages, the church and almshouse ruins. The church fell into disrepair and was eventually demolished in 1958, leaving only these few remains an the corner of a field. |
