Waterloo Tower, Finedon
Built for the Woodford Estates owner General Charles Arbuthnot in the early 19th century. The General was apparently a friend of the Duke of Wellington who, while on a visit remarked how the terrain reminded him of the Waterloo battlefield.
Eventually the house became an Inn, Social Club and Farmhouse.
