The Dower House, Fawsley
After the death in 1542 of Sir Edmund Knightly of Fawsley, his widow took residence in the Dower House. The house dates from the early sixteenth century and is the earliest example of a brick building in the county. The house was last inhabited in 1704 and has since fallen into ruin.
